I went to the Flaming Lips show with fellow mommy to primarily catch The Raveonettes (so I thought that's the closest to Jesus and Mary Chain live) but I became a new fan (it's never too late!) of The Flaming Lips cos I was blown away by the work of art we all turned out to be. So this was why Q Magazine named them one of the "50 Bands to See Before You Die". The entire set was absolutely trippy without having to consume anything. From the visual efx to the confetti to the giant balloons to the lighting to the orange dancers to the Zorb (my favourite moment: seeing wayne rolling right above my head) and all other props. I was visually mesmerised that I think it made up for all the shows I missed in years. Never mind that my knees ached like nobody's business after standing for hours but it was little damage from what I had expected from a standing show since audience was pretty docile (I didn't even think these two mommies would be strong enough to be up front-ish) but we subconsciously weaseled our way through gaps cos there was surprisingly no moshing. Only from this
video, I realised that was quite a tremendous size of audience at the back of us who unlike me, I think did not need more than 2 days to recover from the fatigue.
